not bad for December
Today in the central Illinois is was not bad. Cold for sure but no wind at all and I road a nice ride of 37 miles. Riding through the wind farm the windmills were not even turning a bit. It was about 26 degrees at the start and finished at about 30 degrees. Really not bad to ride the feet just get pretty numb but otherwise it was fine. I did run 6 miles on the treadmill before to warm up so that helped. You start out on the bike actually pretty warm that way.
It is pretty rare to do this in December around but like running outside if there is no wind you can handle the cold. Suppose to be pretty good this weekend so hope to get a good ride tomorrow.

The weather in Toronto has been pretty mild for December. It was 13C (or 55F) yesterday, but too bad it was raining. It dropped back to near freezing today with some pretty strong 40km/h winds.
Riding in freezing temperatures is harder than I thought it would be, as after an hour or so my toes and fingers feel numb to the point where I can't move them. Hopefully the thicker gloves and overshoes I have on the way will fix that.
