Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

There are tons of quil stems out there that would look great on your bike. You should definately go over to the c&v forum and ask about them there. Tons of people will have extra ones laying around that they will part with cheaply. In fact I have this nice NOS SR Sakae Stem sitting on my counter.

Oh wait yea I do. VO rips off everything Nitto makes. That's not really a bad thing though, the quality and prices are good.

Hmmm, I think it's arguable whether V-O quality is up there with Nitto.

Lighter than any aluminum quill stem.
I have a couple aluminum HLs that are amazingly light.

Just to correct a couple of posts, the Cinelli quill does not require Cinelli bars. I just put a Bontrager ergo bar on my Cinelli stem, no problem.

Before about 1990, Cinelli stems were built for Cinelli-unique 26.4mm bars. Nothing a little careful shimming won't fix for 26.0mm bars.

Hey now. I never said that.

Though that Grand Cru seat post I have on my Smoothie is pretty nice.

Zoom used to make quill stems in 26.0 and 25.4; they claimed weight around the 250g mark. Thin-wall cromoly steel construction and an aluminum quill wedge. Quite the looker, even if not entirely traditional in the sense of the Cinelli 1A.
