Where's Winter?!

SE Wisconsin weather has been very weird this Winter. Temps have been in the 40s for the past few days so the small amounts of snow that has fallen is gone. Today it's sunny and in the 30s so I took the bike out of the trainer and headed out. Found out about 17ish miles into my ride going up a hill how slippery ice can be on a road bike. Ouch! Ride was worth it though; I hate the trainer.

I hope winter got lost and never comes back.

Your winters there only last till early march lol. I am glad winter hasn't showed it can stay in Canada.

59F in Central Park, NYC!!! Notably faster today vs. when it's been 30F. Also, less heads winds. Not complaining! :)

I wish. We've had snow in April.

Painful Chafe 01-07-12 01:46 PM

Someone call Al Gore. Global Warming is finally here.

Ricanfred 01-07-12 01:46 PM

I enjoy Winter with snow. Winter-sports are a lot of fun. Coldish temps. (warm for WI but cold enough) and almost no snow for play is no fun! Can't wait for Spring!

lechat 01-07-12 01:48 PM

Looks like AlGore is finally coming through. Last year I tried to round up a group to go up to Belmeade and throw him a necktie party.

Noted...:) 15mph headwind here as well, but sunny and crisp! Did not enjoy the spill though....

Out today with a light jacket and no overcoat in Toronto. We haven't really had much of a winter here yet either BUT I try to remember that winter only started on Dec 21st. It will get here but i am not complain ing right now.

Not complaining.

X-LinkedRider 01-07-12 02:43 PM

Got out today for close to 25 miles and the weather was gorgeous at about 50-55 in eastern PA.

I waxed my skis and bought studded tires in November. I jinxed it.

I am not complaining just a little south of Wi in Illinois it has been great. Had the last week of December off work rode 200 miles in 6 days unheard of, and today able to ride a 33 miles and at a good clip for winter riding. Being a runner I can by winter as I increase my running but first time ever I back off in December to ride more. If I did not have preach 3 Masses tomorrow I would go out again it suppose to be good.

HokuLoa 01-07-12 02:51 PM

Yup, 3 days of +/-60 degree rides in CO this week, nice.... Winter is creeping back in today though. (we REALLY need snow)

45 and sunny/partly cloudy here in Portland, OR again. Too bad I'm sick with the flu.

rjones28 01-07-12 03:57 PM

It was around 50 yesterday and today. It was single digit temps earlier in the week with a few inches of snow. I just like to have one or the other please.
