I collect wine and vintage pinball machines.
edit: "vintage" sounds a bit pretentious. Most people would think they're old pieces of junk.

Digging the photography! Love it, but I have no place in it.
For me, running/swimming/football/volleyball.

Motorcycles, specifically a 2008 Yamaha roadstar warrior built from 102" to 108". I also play guitar, the first love of my life is a 79 model Les Paul. ,,,,,,,, oh and karaoke. Though I should probably have saved that one for the confession thread!

I keep a small coral reef tank, play a little paintball when I can afford it, and guns. I enjoy sub gun shoots when I can make them, great fun, especially multi-gun events like pistol, sub-gun, shotgun shoots.

Besides cycling ... I'm pretty ADHD, so there's a list.
Stuff I like doing:
- Mountain hiking (hit a new "high" when I crested Mt. Kilimanjaro 2 months ago - and there are more plans for tall, exotic peaks in the medium-term future)
- Challenge hiking, aka sprint hiking (i.e. long distances, short time. Did 42 miles along the Appalachian Trail in May, in 13 hours.)
- Sailing (used to be a very successful at racing sailboats - 505 class, won numerous regattas, and qualified for nationals a few times.)
- Music - progressive rock, progressive metal. (A bit of a rock music journalist - I co-manage 2 very large sites regarding all things related to these two genres, and I write and publish reviews, articles, interviews, and so on. About 600 reviews written to date.)
- Golf (enthusiastic but really bad golfer!)
- Photography (used to belong to a camera club, and was selected for several national and international salons. Now, it's all "happy snaps", though I plan to get back to it soon.)
- Gym (okay, I don't really like it, but I go 3 times a week. I did a big bulking-up routine for a few years and studied the subject closely, but my genetics worked against me competing in the next Mr. Universe competition. Now I do it to support my climbing, hiking and cycling activities - i.e. about 60% cardio / 40% strength training. And any bulk I built is long gone
)
- Travel (with my limited budget, I don't get far. Been to 41 of the 50 states and about 20 countries. I have a lot of catching up to do!)
- Writing. (I've written a novel - 'bout 15 years ago. Had an agent and an editor, the whole thing. Damn-near had it published, but my agent messed up the negotiations. I'm thinking of re-working it into current world events, and marketing it through a different agent.)
Stuff that grabs my interest:
- Scotch whisky
- Cars (Big car nut, though I'm not into hot rods / muscle cars etc. I have a special interest in classic European cars, and have big plans for when I win the lottery
. I also study current and future auto design and technology trends.)
- Politics. (Don't ask - I won't answer. And I keep my opinions to myself.)
- Architecture
- Watching certain relatively unusual sports: Rugby, cricket, formula 1 auto racing, Americas Cup sailing, and a few others)
- Recently started trap / skeet / clay pigeon shooting. I had not fired a rifle since I left the military in 1977, but it turned out that I hadn't lost the skills, and was quite decent at it. Next-steps - buy shotguns for my wife and myself, and find a local range.
- Various - I tend to get into various things (US history, metaphysics, comparative religions, whatever) but these interests pop up, I learn more than the average man-in-the-street, then move on to the next thing.

Well, it use to be woodworking and photography but the economy has put a damper on that. Now I just work to support my addictions, weight lifting and cycling.
