The Rossetti Vertigo has arrived
Finally, the day has arrived. After five long days of waitng for this to arrive from Miami, it's here. It was delivered at 11:30. The UPS guy just rang the doorbell and took off. Here's a picture I got of him getting back in his truck.

Took the box in the garage and started putting it together. For some reason it took lokger than I expected. By 12:30 I realized I had no idea how to install the RD. So, I called the LBS and they said I could bring it down. By 1:15 is was at the shop and they hooked me up (for $30). Back home by 2:30. I had a soccer game to coach at 4:30 so I only had time to snap a few pictures and get in a short ride. Here she is:
EDIT-seat and bars have been properly adjusted in later pictures...kind of wonky here
It's actually a pretty comfy seat.

Taking her out for a proper ride in the morning. Should have a more detailed report tomorrow. My buddy who rides a sweet Cervelo couldn't believe how light this thing is. Wheels weighed in at 1465g. I'm guessing it's sub-17lbs. So far so good. Fit and finish is as good as ANY bike I've seen. The SRAM is going to take a while to get used to, but I like how it feels so far. Even the computer has Rossetti stamped on it. Pretty happy, but it's late and I have to get up early to ride. Hope you enjoy the pictures. If you decide to get a Rossetti, tell them I sent you.

beautiful!! I agree with Bob's post, but I'd probably wait until I get the fit dialed in perfectly before cutting the steerer, but you really need to level that saddle (i actually have mine a few degrees up in the front), and rotate those bars.
I'll be watching this thread, cuz you got me really interested in this bike. Please give us a detailed follow up.

With a hack-saw. Had to chop off about 4" of tube. Once you get the post close there is a seat sleeve that slides over the top that will give you about 2" of play.

Congrats on the new bike.
I'm honestly a bit underwhelmed because I wanted this bike badly months ago. Something looks a bit off. Maybe those adjustments that a member suggested will fix it.
btw, at what level do you coach soccer? you must have some strong legs having that soccer background. just perfect for cycling.

I've also been following this post (and the previous). I'm interested to see the fixes Bob recommended and the final weight. No budget for a new bike right now but I'll live vicariously through you. Post the new pics. Can't wait to see the final outcome. The bike looks pretty good (love that black) and congrats on the purchase! The UPS truck shot is awesome! Somebody was anxiously waiting for his bike! LOL

Here's a better shot from my ride today. I'll post more later. Adusted the bars and seat. Don't think I can handle more drop right now, so the spacers are staying.

Finally had a chance to get some more pictures posted (my son has been hogging the computer all day). So, did a 36 mile loop today and completely bonked. Bike did great, I felt like crap. Been feeling like crap for the last couple of days. Plus I haven't ridden in over two weeks, plus my much stronger riding partner was riding my d**k in the dirt. One of those "we'll take it easy today" and then it turns in to a hammer fest.
Anyway, I almost puked, both legs were completely cramped up about the last 10 miles and I wasn't sure I'd even make it home. The bike is DEFINATELY a lot smoother...like really smooth. I am in love with that seat! My butt was in heaven. I have a lot of adjusting to do. My previous bike was a lot bigger (Giant M/L, about a 56). This is a 52. The owner says he recommends a 52 for everyone under 5'10" and puts a 110 or 120 stem on (mine is a 110).
This bike is certainly more "flickable" and nimble. Still working the kinks out with the Rival group. Had several "bad" shifts, but I really like the ergo of the hoods. My hands, for the first time ever, never fell asleep the whole ride. The drop is also much greater than I am used to, but my back was fine. My neck got a little sore, but I think with more time the muscles will strengthen. Before I started bonking, the hills were noticeably smoother. I wouldn't say easier, but something seemed a little less challenging about the usual hills. Also, my computer crapped out (probably a dead battery) so I have no idea how my pace was. Actually felt a little slower than normal, but I think that was because I had no energy. Anyway, here are some more photos with the seat and bars properly adjusted.

Very nice bike. I could care less about the haters and doubters. Believe it or not there are plenty of companies in China that have the know how and the engineering prowess to be able to design a high quality frame. If in fact that's where the frame is made. Hold your head high if and when you have to deal with any negative attitude types. If you feel good about your buying decision then that is truly all that matters. Safe riding.
I do wish it had internal cable routing. It's the only negative thing I can say about your bike. Beautiful.
