laps-distance
i looking to get into racing. I see alot of races, events in bikereg, they dont say how far (miles), just laps for example
CAT 5 - 15 laps
CAT 5 - 20 laps
Is a lap equals one mile? or what???
bikereg doesnt says miles, just laps
help me out please

Those are most likely criteriums, so a 1 mile lap is typical. Usually the schedule permits 45-60 minutes for a race.
If you can find a website for the event itself, it may have more detail.
