SRAM Crankset compatibility question

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

SRAM Crankset compatibility question

Dear BFers:

I have a Trek Madone 4.5 equipped with SHIMANO 105 shifters, crankset, front derailleur and Ultegra rear derailleur. I really dig the look of SRAM Force crankset, but wonder if I would have compatibility issue if I swap the 105 crankset for the Force. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.

Is that BB90? Probably just change the bearings and the Force cranks will go right in.

you may be able to use the 105 chainrings on the force crank. that would preserve your shift quality.

edit: actually, this doesn't matter anyway. bb30 won't go into bb90 frame, one of them is wider. (I think bb90.)
