Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Specialized changing their lineup already?

Took a look on the Specialized site today and it looks like they've consolidated a lot of their lines and added a few colors in others. For instance there's a new Black/Blue Allez Sport Compact and a White/Red Secteur, and the base model Vita and Sirrus are no longer listed. Also, all MSRP prices have been taken down.

I'm new to the sport, but is it normal for a company to start re-arranging things like this in the middle of the year? If anything I would have thought it would be closer to the end of the year to make way for 2013 models.

well its spring. maybe they figure a change up now would benefit them as people are starting to get out more. warmer weather, tax refunds?? lower prices would be good though. seems like the trend has been an increase in price and cheaping out on some components. 105 alloy bikes are starting to creep towards 2k. the caad 10 105 is the bargain bike now at 1499.

Are you looking at the US site? I just checked it and there are prices for every model listed. I clicked Road > Allez and the sub-models appear with the price underneath. When you click the sub-model image and go to that page, they omit the price.
