Seatpost with more setback

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Seatpost with more setback

I need more setback for my seatpost. The one I have currently, the PRO PLT has max of 20mm. I know 3T makes one with 25mm, which may work or at least be better. But before I pull the trigger on that, does anyone know if there are others that may go up to 30mm? No, I don't want the Thomson one because it's fugly.

I appreciate the offer to help, but I think I know what I am doing here. Just want to know if there are seatposts out there with more than 25mm setback.

The Thomson actually has less...

The FSA of course - which is very nice and light actually, I use it myself - also Paul's Components has one and so does Velo Orange. The latter might look out of place on a modern sporty bike. I think Nitto does too...not sure.

FSA Kforce comes in 32mm setback. Best 2 bolt carbon post out there for the jack.
Agree with ultra...pretty unusual level of setback...and I ride a fair bit behind the BB as well.

ITM i believe had one with a massive seat back, nitto aswell, was so much that it was not even funny.

if you go too far back the bike will not be balanced then you get handling issues.

I am at the end of the PRO's 20 mm max setback with the new Romin EVO saddle. The rails on the new saddle don't allow you to move the saddle back as much as the Toupe it replaced. I had the Toupe dialed in quite well, but since I put the Romin EVO on, I am having some knee pain issues. I've already made sure the height/level are the same, so the only difference between the two setups is the saddle setback position vis-a-vis the BB. I really only need an additional 3-5 mm, so a 25 mm setback would work; but since I am getting a new one, I thought might as well go for the one with more, just in case.

WHat you can do is to lift the saddle a few mm (3 or 4) to account for the difference. That should do the trick. As upper the saddle the back it gets.

I have a Romin Evo pro and did notice the rails don't let you go back as far as some other saddles. Is the Ti version the same way or just the carbon rails. I don't need any setback as I am fine with the regular offset post. My bike fits me well now. Love the saddle.

I have the EVO Expert version. If you compare that to the Toupe, you will see the different in where the rails bend starts. On top of that, as much as I like the EVO, it forces you into a position on the saddle that's just a tiny forward of where I normally rode my Toupe.

Thanks for the info. Too bad they don't come in black. Silver won't work with my mostly black/red carbon Cervelo.

If I did this I would feel like my saddle was wedged up my ass.
