Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hahaha! One day shelflife for addiction thread would be rough.

535 recorded miles for me in May. Probably about 200 unrecorded.

Looks like a bloodbath on wall street this morning if the futures are any indication.

Europe used to be so cool.

Going to the Mets game tonight looks like nice weather.

Pcad I sold VZ and purchased Apple at $554 about two weeks ago. I also sold AF, a bank stock, and purchased Apple at $556. I think that Apple is a good bet through October. After that I will reevaluate.

Put those seven pounds in the stock market today, you'll be skinnier than Pcaddy.

Talk of making replay more of a part of baseball makes me sad. Calls will always be missed and messed WITH replay (see: NFL). I think the problem is more about the quality of the umpires. These guys are supposed to be invisible. The only ones who like replay in the NFL are the advertisers.

Bah.

They wanna make baseball even slower with replay? Some people!

How 'bout them Mariners? STOMPING the Rangers two days in a row.

Always had a soft spot for the M's (mom was born in Seattle). Made me sad when the Sonics left. I do not like the NBA at all, but a team means good things for a community. I really hope Seattle gets an NHL franchise.

Apple is a good bet through 2014. VZ may be just as good. You trading guys kill me. Actually you usually kill yourselves first.

But it's going to friggin SUCK this summer, and I'm not that convinced the last Q will offer much relief. Europe really sucks. On the other hand, oil is going to $70/bbl, so gas will be cheaper.

Hey, WTF do I care, my business is jammed, we're busier than we have been in a year, that's what really matters here. All economics are micro economics. All this CNBC stuff is white noise.

WTF are you watching? Replay in the NFL works all the time. They need it in baseball once a game, too many games upended by crappy calls.

Pcad, I never can tell when you're kidding. The NFL fails often at replay, it slows down the game and makes me sit through more stupid commercials.

The trouble with baseball isn't the need for replay, it is that they need to add an ump and improve the quality of the crew by stripping the egos from the corps.

Incorrect. The commercials slow down the game, and you're going to watch them whether or not there is replay.
