Wal-Mart finally wins one
After much consideration, I have to conclude that Wal-Mart finally chalks up a win for their bike department. I recently decided to buy a second bicycling computer and Wal-Mart had the Bell F12 for about 10 bucks. At that price, I figured I couldn't go wrong. I installed it and after a few weeks of use, find no significant differences between it and mt VDO C3. Yes, the VDO is wireless which is a plus, but that is offset by needing 2 batteries. The functions are about the same. While I understand that a rider wants the cadence function (I do not) needs to spend the bucks to get it, I now look through my Nashbar catalog and wonder why I would ever pay those prices again for a cycling computer when an acceptable solution is only $10 and a short drive away. It's even available on Sundays.

There are cyclists who put more weight on the price-value quotient regarding their gear, while there are also those who would only look at gear owned by pros. To each their own.
