Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Anyone try one of these? I'm thinking of getting one, but they are kind of expensive. Curious to hear of any experience with them.

Just installed mine (Racing)...I'll probably take it for a long ride this weekend and let you know how it goes. I had a Selle Italia SLR Flow on there before and I didn't care for it. Before that was an Arione for years but it wasn't great on long rides w/lots of climbing.

I've tried the Selle SMP Stratos and Dynamic, Selle Italia SLR and the Selle San Marco Mantra. My two favorite are the SMP Dynamic and the San Marco Mantra. Really like both and would have a hard time choosing between them.

I took it out for 4 hrs + 7k ft climbing this weekend...was great...no issues to report. The flared sides are much better for me as well. Definitely a keeper coming from a Fizik Arione and the Selle Italia SLR Flow both of which had a good number of miles.

I have them on my bikes. I used to use selle italia flite gel flow, I used that seat for about 800 miles. Then switched to try new brand as the flite made me numb after 2 hours riding. with the mantra I can go 5 hrs before numbness. I have about 1500 miles on them I do wish the gel from flite was on mantra though. I'm glad my sugoi and castelli chamois are thick enough to compensate. Also like the fact they are longer, more seat time climbing before I have to stand. The nose is really narrow so less chaffing and you can sit far back also. hope this helps.
