I know something about this bull****. Trust me on this. I've been going to clueless urologists for 25 years. They are all clueless. But I do know my symptoms are consistent with benign conditions.

Agree, I am pretty clueless about your condition not having endured it. I do know that laypeople as well as professionals can be wrong as well about diagnosis. A MRI is about 400 bux. When there is competing or varyied speculation from so called professionals about a given condition, I believe a MRI is cheap insurance against the worse case scenario. So no, I don't trust you, speculation of professionals or myself when it comes to pain in this area that is more or less chronic. Your body though and good luck.

If you haven't already done it read up on dogs overheating on the interwebz. On a very hot day, feel the pavement to see how hot it feels to the feet/paws. If Sam needs a push to keep going he may be too hot. Especially if he never does that in other weather. Listen to what he's trying to say.
I was surprised about how easy a dog can overheat. I've seen a few dogs already past heat exhaustion, and into heat stroke. One key symptom is vomiting when drinking a little. Also super fast shallow panting.

An old guy I ride with was finally diagnosed with the same thing. He'd been miserable for a long time with the pain. He's been on a regimen of PT and stretching and he's been in MUCH better condition.

The flip side, apparently this condition is similar to what can happen to women after childbirth.

Actually, size maybe relevant. Maybe just too big = fail.
Let's say Pcad's issue is soft tissue...overuse. Load path maybe bad.
Too much weight + poor saddle fit... seat height a bit high, setback maybe contributors.
Cycling by its nature of repetition leads to injury if everything isn't right.
PS: Shimano is speculated to be working on a pain damping device that interfaces with its Di2...targeted for older riders like Pcad who can afford electronic shifting. Small needle like probes are placed into pain centers of the body and a rider can shift up or down depending on pain level during a ride.

Not all urologists are clueless, as in any field however some certainly are. So I take it the answer to the Sports Med Orthopod/MRI is no? Certainly that, the sports doc, should go before the MRI. And BTW very few people are actually diagnosed with prostate cancer because their psa goes up, most I see it's the first time it's measured. Of course the Feds are now saying don't do psa for screening(speaking of bull****). Anyone good luck with the rehab.
