This needs to be added to a Pcaddy poll predicting his future:

Work on core and legs (abductors and adductors) leg presses and leg curls. Work on diet and lose some weight. Yoga and massage would help. Get a young girl friend or get your wife to help with prostrate therapy. Rest and recover and maybe you will come back stronger.

leg presses, leg curls = leglol

what kind of prostrate therapy? never heard of it...

I'll kill myself first.

Will Patentcad's "Peleton Dog" status change to "Get 'bent!" after he dials in his new bike?

Savagewolf 08-10-12 02:30 PM

To be honest though, I don't mind recumbents at all. I don't ride one, but I love hanging out with them on rides. They seem to really cruise on flatter areas, and if they have the little plastic shield up front are amazing to draft off of.

That sucks ass.

That's as far as it goes too.

I just got off the phone with some attorney who really sounded like a bit of an imbecile. Those are the guys who can't communicate their convoluted project , but they treat you like a moron because you can't understand the unfathomable bull**** they have presented you with. The only way to get rid of these blowhards is to tell them their work is too complex for you to understand. That always makes them feel smarter than you and gets them out of your hair pretty fast. I've been doing this a long time, I can smell a guy that you don't want to work for within a couple of minutes on the phone. I always go with that instinct now, because when I don't, I am invariably sorry I didn't.

Google really does attract a wide range of idiots. But we get a fair amount of work out of it nonetheless. Sometimes you do need your hip waders.

The only exception being the pain in the ass fee. Sometimes I'll take it for the premium.

For Pcad

patentcad 08-10-12 03:16 PM

My friend was busting my balls to day that this is primarily a woman's condition, which may be true. The physical therapist I'll be seeing has treated a bunch of male cyclists with this syndrome over the past few years. Strikes me as the long distance cyclist equivalent of shin splints.

I think women are more prone to it due to anatomy and childbirth, etc., but I would imagine that combining 90K road cycling miles and middle age will do it to you too.

I'll start with 60 days and take if from there. Hell, the longest I've been off the bike in 7 years was 3 days until I tried 10 days off recently. That wasn't enough.

Could this condition be related to "too much" cycling? In other words, some kind of "overuse/repetitive injury."

I see your time here and in the 33 has been good for something.

I have no idea what any part of this means or relates to. I'm just amazed that a thread that a guy starts about himself and refers to himself in the third person gets to 5 pages though. The 41 can be a confusing and fascinating place.

Pcad, I know you're some kind of legend around here, and I am a newbie. I know you're going to kill me, so please make it good cause I do enjoy a good laugh. A simple " Bite me" just won't do. The pressure's on.

Oh, and sorry to hear about your sore nether regions. Luckily, I'm not a dedicated enough rider to probably ever have to worry about such things. Speedy recovery to you!

Yeah, come up with something original for a change.

RUOkie 08-10-12 07:04 PM

I'm actually surprised this hasn't gone to 10 pages by now. I think pcad is losing his touch.

And the offer for the TT bike stands. I'll take it in the name of saving pcad's ass
