Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I just wish that all of these companies would cut it out with the non-disclosure of pricing online. I understand the need to restrict and protect distribution, but just state the MSRP, set a friggin' UMRP and limit a dealer's shipping territory.

I just did. I didn't know who they were, but they started messaging my friends this morning.

That is some really immature, un-cool BS. For all the know, they're messaging my co-workers, family, etc. Completely uncalled for.

Oh BTW, I got my range for 70% off the normal price. My builder taught me how. The way to do that is to monitor all the high end ranges, and when a model type is discontinued, buy the floor model for the Appliance store.

Cool, thanks. There's a ****ty electric range in the new place, hopefully I'll be able to muster the patience to do something like that. I do also have a wide open plan for the kitchen, so that would give me leeway on width which might mean a better opportunity to take advantage of a deal... I like where this is headed!

Engaging people like this will surely lead to something worse. Ignore, ignore, ignore.

[bike content] Quick question - any reason that I shouldn't clamp down my brake levers (with velcro strips, or similar)? Upon hearing the ping of spokes, I found that my boy had my front wheel spinning at a pretty good clip - last thing I want is him getting fingers caught in a spinning wheel. [/bike content]

Strap the front wheel to the down tube, and rear wheel to the seat tube. I use web straps, from my hiking paraphernalia. Clamping the brake levers may lead to more cable housing compression.

EDIT: You can also strap the crank arm to the seattube. I always worry more of fingers caught between chain and sprockets, especially after witnessing a mangling years ago.

you could also use those velcro ties that organized people use for their wires. I have a roll of it that I am not using for my man cave media room.

You can also report their conversations as harrasment. Get your friends to do so as well.

World history indicates you'd be hard pressed to find a guy who isn't, so the appropriate response is something like "tell me something I don't know."

Sorry boss. I got nothing. Everything is going great with Ms. Solo, and I. She is going to California this week for some seminar for work. I am planning a romantic getaway in the Hocking Hills state park, and including some horseback riding when she gets back. She loves horses. I am looking forward to it.

I'm too lazy to lie or cheat. They both require more effort than I'm willing to give.
