Voler shorts?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bought my first pair of bibs from them, 2 of the Elite FS, w/ the trilogy pad, highly recommended by this forum. Hammer Nutrition uses them for their stuff.

Fit is spot on, very well made/durable. Company has a great record for support (based in Grover, CA).

I've used them for short and long rides (centuries). Pad could be better, but it's miles from basic Pearl/Sugoi stuff. Again, a good starting point. I've sinced upgraded to Giordana bibs, which have an even better pad/construction, but at double the price. FYI, I don't use chamois cream.

I got the bibs on sale and ended up paying about 60ish w/ free shipping. Wait for black friday, as they had some good deals that whole week last year.

Love me some Voler shorts. I only get the ones with the Trilogy pad as that's what fits me best. Their fit and durability is awesome!!

My club has used them for years. I like them but some people don't. The biggest complaint is that the chamois is diaper like instead of form fitting. We can choose different pads; I think mine is the Trilogy.

My club has used voler for years but I have only bought jerseys...for next year I am planning to buy shorts too and am curious about the 3 different chamois options.

From what's been posted, sounds like the Trilogy is the best option.

Yes?

My club uses Voler right now and I was pleasantly surprised by the bibs. I think they are like the Elite with the Trilogy chamois pad and Quantum DSX fabric. Nice quality fabric good for warmer temps and not too thick a chamois.

My wife bought me a pair of their top line bibs for Festivus a couple of years ago.

The pad took a while to break in; I found it initially very abrasive. But once it worked in, it was fine.

Would buy again.

If you're going with the Hammer option, I'd highly recommend spending the extra few bucks and upgrading to their Bergamo line. I have both, and I never use the Voler anymore. The Bergamos are superior in every way.

Bikes: quite a few

I have this one
https://www.voler.com/browse/product/li/1110487PRTSML

One of my favourites, and I love the material overall (the Forza stuff). My only gripe about the chamois (which is otherwise comfy) is that it feels a little rough sometimes. It's definitely a nice chamois in terms of size/width/padding comfort but I had a slight texture issue. That said, it only happened on my first couple rides, so maybe it's a wear-in thing.

My team uses Elite FS Bibs with the trilogy pad. They've been comfy and durable.

I bought two last year on close out and I hate both of them. The chamois pad placement is strange on both of them. I do not have this issue with either specialized or campagnolo sportswear bibs/shorts.
