Drama ends here. There is a letter waiting on her porch. It is the final copy of my farewell address.

Sounds grand. Will you be donating a copy to the Smithsonian?

Do you get your water from a well, too?

As a matter of fact. We do.

No need to compromise.

The hot ones are the ones who spend all day suffering and freezing their assess off doing some activity you love but they haven't tried before while improperly equipped because you wanted to do an experiment but didn't tell them. When you get back, they buy the drinks, tell you what a great day it was, and want to know when they can do it again since they figure they'll get better every time they go out.

Very sporty. Very low maintenance. Totally hot.

My wife and I used to do double handed sailboat racing on San Francisco Bay. We were coming under the Gate on the return leg of the Farallones race and broached during a jibe. I have a permanent vision of her up on the foredeck still working to get the spinnaker pole made (connected to the mast) while the boat was laying flat on its side. It was blowing around 25 knots and foggy/cloudy.

Hottest thing I have ever seen.

Job recruiters suck! Just read an article on how new grads are being helped by their unis to clean up their on-line personnas so they can get a job.

But this is a classic -- a guy who co-started a business to do this cclean-up got the idea after he found he couldn't get an internship because a google search of his name turned up a drug dealer.

As if a convicted drug dealer would be looking for an internship. Really. Laziness knows no bounds in the recruitment sector.

the new one doesn't kick on with a clunking bang and make the same noises, (2-stage) but it definitely pushes more air. so the furnace itself is quieter, but we can hear the air through the vents a lot more.

We got a high-efficiency gasburner last winter, when the oilburner gave it up. Much less expensive to run, but there's a big tank in the yard now.

The thing that's craziest is that it's what you *don't* do that gets you the job and keeps it for you rather than what you actually do.

If you're an incompetent with marginal social skills, you'll be fine so long as you don't have the wrong characteristics in your personal life. But if you do have these characteristics, it doesn't matter how well you know your stuff or work with others.

the oil company did the installation of the new furnace, bought back the oil, and took away the tank and the old furnace.

it seems kind of weird to me that the oil company sells gas furnaces.

I meant for a one month thread.

Obviously the quarterly threads back in the razor days were epic.
