Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

130mm Disc Hubs for Campy 11-Speed

Greetings, I was at a CX race last weekend and saw a kid riding my exact bike (2012 Redline Conquest Carbon) with a Chris King rear disc hub. I asked him about it (because I thought that only White Industries, Novatec, and Phil Wood made 130mm disc hubs) and he told me it was a 140mm tandem hub that was converted to 130mm. I e-mailed CK about this and they told me that it is not possible. However, on their website they have a 'hub specs' section that clearly specifies that the 140mm rear universal hub can be converted to 130mm using a two-piece axle. This is very confusing, especially since I saw it with my own eyes and the kid was running a mango CK hub on a bike that only has one spacing option (130mm.)

I have three Campy 11-speed cassettes, so migrating to another product is not economical.

I also have two great bikes that use stupid 130mm rear spacings.

Besides White Industries and obviously Novatec, does anyone know a way for me to come up with a blingy wheelset so that I can look special with my hydraulic disc set-up on the road come Spring? My current disc wheelset is built around two nice (and very, very, very plain) White Industries hubs.

Cheers!
