Bikes: are better than yours.
Hearing a click, tick or creak on a group ride and not being able to figure out if it's my bike or someone else's.

The word "weights" used in place of "weighs" as in "this bike only weights 18 pounds."
I've seen this way too many times to count on the forum in the last few weeks and just saw it on a CL ad.
Maybe I should be an English teacher instead of a music teacher...

Bike mfg that put words all over the frame. Put the company on the down tube and maybe the seat tube, model on the top tube. That's it.
As an example, Bianchi makes the Oltre frame and puts crap like "UTSS ultra thin seat stays" and "KVID kevlar vibration damp whatever the hell" on it.
I don't want that crap all over my bike!

I believe the logos on the bikes replicate race bikes...where the logos are overdone to make sure they get on camera from whatever angle the guy on the motorcycle is shooting. But still a fair pet peeve. I'm sure other's would be upset if their replica race bike didn't have the same logos as the pros.

I don't like logos on my bike either, and specifically asked the manufacturer of my Ti bike to NOT apply one. All it has is a badge on the head tube and (unfortunately) a name on the fork which I may still paint over. In addition to looking more old school / classic (which I like), I figure it might make it less attractive to thieves as it's harder to determine value (and sell). If someone wants to find out the make/model they can ask me.
