Dec. 31 Update
This post will be sticky at the top of the original post as well as here
Guidelines on how to report
I am subscribed to this thread on a daily basis, but will likely only be updating the stats weekly on Sunday night/Monday morning. Please follow these guidelines:
1. Miles and weight should be submitted Sunday night/Monday morning, cumulative for the week. Don't be embarrassed if you fall off the wagon; that is the point of this thread, to keep us motivated. No one is judging you here. I am using a regular bathroom scale for weight and Strava to keep my miles.
2. Rather than scouring this thread each week (which could get really long), please submit the following to (bikeforums41[at]gmail[dot]com):
4. I am considering starting a G+ page for this project (for comments and pictures), but am not keen on social media. I'll need to create a BF-related Google name first.
Good luck all. The fun starts tomorrow!

Believe me, I can empathize with having a rough 2012 medically. Feb. 12, 2012 I had an SCA episode followed by a double CABG. Was recovering just fine, up to 80+ miles/week. Then I broke my hip in May. So yeah, I've got big plans for 2013 now that I'm finally physically sound again

yeah, thx for the work on getting this done
but, please keep it simple, no social media, we're all already buried by this stuff.
spreadsheet, nice
is the 'weight' thing gonna be just the 'current weight' in single column and we individually track progress - or something different, like 'variance' from goal... (15 lbs above goal shown as +15, 2lbs under goal as -2 ...???) or percent variance from goal ...???
seeing absolute weight values is might be less important than seeing how you're doing relative to a the weight goal

I rode 2100, in 2012, not many but I have given my try at winter riding and have really liked it, hopefully I can get some winter miles.
Mileage Goal for 2013: 4000
Currently 190 pounds, I am not to worried here, I have been lifting weights and bulking up, after I start riding again I will drop.

Current weight. 195. Goal 165 by Assault on Mt. Mitchell in may 2013.
Miles, if I hit that weight, miles won't matter!

I think I am nearing my limit. Thank you all for playing.
I will bump this thread at least weekly to remind us about the data submission (see original post for directions). In the meantime, have a safe and happy 2013 and come back here to post pics, recipes, achievements. The G+ site is also open for that purpose.

Do miles on a stationary bike count? Current weight is 145, which is also my goal weight. Riding wise goal is 60-100 miles/week during the winter, 100-200 during summer, but that has to include stationary bike miles as I can't ride outside except on weekends.

Yes, please read the original post. I know it is long, but it is quite an undertaking for one person. I'll add you in as the last.
