Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Best can be a loaded adjective. I use IRC Redstorms from Pricepoint.com . Rear tires get about 2,500 miles and front 2x that much, so every other year (or so) both tires get changed. Even in Michigan I get one flat every other year on average. Even the "best" most expensive tires get maybe ~3,000 miles out of them. So for ~$18 per tire I sleep well at night and ride fine with no one but me knowing the difference.
