Lance is my role model, so my sworn oaths are a moving target.

∅ ⁿ. Those are my two options if I hold down the zero on my droid's physical keyboard. I might have to read up on how to do degrees on this.

You jest but the veggie diet has led to 5.5 bs lost in just a little over 2 weeks and I'm not actually dieting. I'm eating lots; so much so that sometimes I think my belt is too tight. This is real weight loss.

I accidentally saw a snippet of the interview I'd paraphrase thusly:

I was doing epo and testosterone, but only a little epo, and the testosterone? Cmon guys, I only have ONE BALL!

About the addiction time trial, I'm thinking maybe it is time to have a re-run. Last time I could not find a flat route because I was in rolling hills terrain. This time, the terrain is either dead flat or mountains. I wonder if we should have a flat or a mountain time trial.

I read that testosterone promotes prostate cancer and estrogen promotes breast cancer. Sucks. So we are designed to be not too manly and not too womanly or we get struck down. Sucks.

It rained five days in a row. Tennessee declared a State of Emergency. Try to keep up.

I'm not losing any weight.

Good grief, this is without question the most over the top evisceration of a public figure since Dick Nixon.

Tricky Dick's image improved after that. Lance's will as well. How could it not improve from this low point? Because nobody is quite as evil as they get portrayed during the downfall maelstrom.

Portrayed- nah, that was just Lance Strongarm being himself.

Yeah, it was pretty bad. Oh well.

I wonder how much my framed and autographed Lance poster will fetch on eBay?

Remove from frame, pin to a dart board and you might get your money for the dart board.

That being said the notion that Armstrong's cancer @ age 25 or 26 was related to PED use after 3-4 years (tops) of taking steroids is even more dubious than Suzie Orman's financial advice. Medical researchers have been trying to establish a concrete link between steroids and cancer for 30 years without real success. It's all anecdotal, but even if there turns out to be a link, it would take 20+ years to cause cancer, not 2.

That's not really possible.

Good point.

patentcad 01-18-13 05:44 AM

And if steroids are linked to cancer, when does A. Schwarzenegger get his? He's overdue.

RUOkie 01-18-13 05:45 AM

Statistics fail

RUOkie 01-18-13 05:49 AM

And the issue is not that the steroids caused the cancer. It is that taking them caused an ordinarily slow growing cancer to rapidly metastasize. Thus what started as a testicular tumor (like botto's) that was easily treatable, ended up being lung, brain tumors needing chemo

AND THEN HE TOOK THEM AGAIN!!!

Let's get this party started. Hoping for playoffs, not optimistic.

I give him the benifit of the doubt...The only time I think you can tell if he's lying is if his lips are moving....

Soloist Assassin 01-18-13 07:11 AM

The bit he said about Betsy Andreu was just deplorable.

VV, I wasn't intentionally leaving you off a team. I listed New York riders because of proximity: we are close enough to actually ride a team TT together, with but a few hours of driving.

But if I get a do over on team picks, I am sticking with Mr. rjones28, and would like Mr. BillyD over the NYC crew. The new build has Downtube shifters, couple that with the Schwinn and Bill's stable, we could be the New York DT's. We may not have the speed, but we would have the style.

I think if Coasting found a couple of other platform riders, he could have a team based on that. Maybe the Flatfeet.

SA could get other Cervelo's, and be the Cervixes, or something.

TS and a couple of other Jen's could get together. They could be the Next Jen's, for short.
