I am a compassionate person, and I want to be there for her. To be honest I don't think it would of really given me any satisfaction anyway. It would of just made me look like an ass.

Umm. You are misinterpreting the situation. The more time you spend with her the more she will lean on you. She is an emotional vampire. You will never stop her as long as you see he or speak with her. If you see her later make her promise she won't hurt herself and then get the **** away. Forever.

Odd day of the week to be starting a desk job.

I had two half-days of training yesterday and Thursday, now I'm on my own. Shuffling the papers, updating the records, praying the phone doesn't ring, etc. It's a part time gig anyways, 16 hours/week.

I don't believe in trainers. Gonna be riding around in the great outdoors. I'm about a mile and a half from the start point of a regular local 10 mile TT so maybe I'll do a 13 mile TT for lunch.

Wonder if I should put on the clip-on aero bars for this.

And no cube either, I get my own 4 walls, a door and a window! Woot!

SA. That will not be possible. She is obsessing and any attempt at friendship gives her hope. She truly is like the dumb and dumber sketch. Trust me on this. You need to break all ties and move on. Do not attempt to be her friend. It is not fair to her.

+1.

This is spot on.

Everything seemed fine. A few hours later he was dead. Now, I wasn't close with the guy, but no one would have ever expected it.

She continues to manipulate your emotions.

She told me when she graduated grad school, she laid in bed with her .38 all day, crying, contemplating suicide. I was nowhere in the picture at that point. I was completely out of her life, at that point. She didn't tell me that to manipulate me. I was explaining how bad her depression was. I didn't cause it, it was way before me, even know we met like 19 years or so ago.

I'll see how tonight goes. I definitely value your advice. Probably more than anyone else. I will make her make me that promise, and this will be our last goodbye. I just hope she can keep that promise.

Because it is the weaksauce version without the integrated brakes.

You're not thinking clearly right now. At all other times your opinion is valued...;)

Traditional brakes are easier to work on, so there's that.

WHOOOSSHHH... 01-27-13 12:08 PM

This color is also an option...

The integrated brake version one has a butt ugly paint scheme too.

That one is much better. I don't think I have it in me to talk you out of that.

Soloist Assassin 01-27-13 12:21 PM

The real question. Do you have any current pics of your Cervelo? Last time you posted it, you said it wasn't done yet.....

LesterOfPuppets 01-27-13 12:22 PM

I just hope none of you crazy wimmin daters come on here with a sad tale like this...

***Please note damage to top tube. According to the previous owner, the bike was not crashed but rather subjected to the baseball bat of an ex-wife. Headset spins freely. No buckling at headtube or other alignment issues common to a crashed bike. Fork straight and true. -Still in highly rideable condition.
