Yep, it seems like whenever I am feeling down. Mr. B always wants to come up, and give me a big kiss. He's been quite the one to cuddle with lately as well. He always makes me smile.

Ru, I know exactly what you're talking about. This summer my brother-in-law passed and the Mrs and I went out west to stay with and support the spouse. The outpouring of love and support from her neighbors, in particular, was just humbling . . . stunning. It was like living in the midst of one giant extended family - love, love, and more love all around you!

I just had never witnessed anything like that before. It's the way it's supposed to be.

Please do elaborate. I feel no attraction, or emotions for her now. It's really a great feeling like I can finally move on. So how exactly am I being manipulated?

That would be a waste of time. You've proven that time and time again. Grow up. Figure it out yourself.

Again, my condolences. If none of the smart people told you to just remember to breathe, add it to the list. We'll see you after.

Just got verbal agreement on selling the boat. Happy day number 2 of boat ownership.

RU, you are in my thoughts, and I can't imagine what you are going through. I hope none of us ever has to experience it for ourselves.

The only general funeral comment that I would make is to look for, and hold on to, the beauty that will be evidenced at the funeral. Something will happen that will stand out to you as perfectly fitting, and representative of something especially heart felt. That is the power of the process, and a last gift to cherish.

I bought that thing when my job sucked and the value of my house was inflated with plans of cashing out and saying eff it. I got a new job and we had some things that needed to be sorted on land, but it was comforting owning an escape pod for awhile... just stupidly expensive.

"A hole in the water you throw money into", as I understand them.

Correct, at least if you plan on owning one and not leaving civilization to become an ocean going vagrant.

Velo Vol 01-28-13 09:59 AM

If I was stranded in the middle of an ocean, I'd rather have a boat than not have one.

Just sayin'.

Good deal Herbie. Funny how the second happy day always seems happier than the first happy day.

Maybe. I had a similar thought. I saw the attention rightfully on someone else for a change and then a sudden resurfacing of the ∞. Seemed like a play out of a book I've seen run a few times around here.

My thoughts are with you RUOkie.

RUOkie 01-28-13 10:50 AM

Thanks Gary. I have received so many emails and PMs over the past few days. I think a lot of people prefer to share these kind of experiences privately. I appreciate every one of them. I have posted many things publicly because I am not embarrassed or ashamed to discuss this topic that is taboo in our society.

I'd rather avoid getting stranded out in the middle of an ocean. Lakes and reservoirs are fine, but I can swim my way out of those.

It's insights like this that make you one of the leading lights of the BF Braintrust.
