I just started back running after a 25 year hiatus. You'll see; you'll all see.

I started running one year ago. Never really ran before.

I started out running 10 minute miles for 2 miles. Now I am down to "cruising" at about 8-8:30 miles and can run pretty much as long as I want to, but typically 5-10 miles at a time.

Everyone is different, but I have found that the running complements my cycling. I am able to get more workouts/week. I often only have 1 hour, which IMO is not enough for a real bike ride, but is plenty long for a quick run (7-8 miles).

YMMV.

So tell me about your average speed...

I doubt many people care, but in case anyone does, here is a typical run for me. This past weekend I was away at my daughters synchronized swim meet in Carlisle, PA...and I couldn't take my bike, so I went for a run:

Strava is for cyclists.

That was recommended after he pulled up some other options on Amazon on his phone, and showed me a barcode app.

I just want someplace to store many gigs worth of photos and video and not have to worry about being connected to the interwebs out in the middle of nowhere.

A blizzard for the ride home on Monday, and 40 mph headwind for the ride home tonight. This has been the toughest week of the year so far.

Right... I'm a filthy triathlete, however. For me, the bike is that annoying part I get passed on before catching back up to everyone.

That's ok. I am a triathlete wannabe. Well, I did one last year but plan to do 3 this year. I really need to work on my swim, though. Hitting the pool tonight.

running is for those too stupid to ride a bike. swimming is for those too stupid to run.

Thanks. That's our "usual" Wednesday ride. We typically have a larger group in the warmer weather, like 12-15 riders...but in the winter it drops down to 4-8. Today we had 5.

I went over to trollheim for 3 minutes for the first time today, to see what the fuss was all about.

All I can say is that there are some real idiot provocateurs there. I can live a happy life never going there again.
