I had a Big Wheel, but it had a coaster brake. We lived on a pretty steep hill (as was my driveway). Mine lasted about a year before I wore through the solid plastic tires. I would go as fast as I could down the hill and slam on the brakes trying to smoke them, causing a spin out. It was loads of fun until I broke my arm for the first time.

i'm trying to find an accurate picture of my first bike. it was orange and pink, with a banana seat and ape hanger bars and coaster brakes. we lived on a dead end street with no traffic. it was a slight hill and i was the neighborhood champ for length of skid marks in the middle of the street. didn't break my arm until i discovered horses, but i have some permanent scars on my knees.

I can't say for certain I've ever handled a real hockey stick. Just plastic ones to play gym hockey.


I saw a player agent "source" cited as saying a deal could be announced this weekend. Guess he wasn't a very good source.

I lived in Massachusetts in the 70s. All kids in our neighborhood were required to play street hockey, so I had a hockey stick.

I only rode Big Wheels after midnight. I would only get 2, maybe 3 runs out of one before the front wheel split in two, as the hills at Red Rocks Amphitheater were pretty steep. If one was lucky enough to make the final hairpin, it was full speed ahead down to the hogback.

I sold some misc. crap on eBay. A guy from NJ bought some old toy trucks that I had and has not paid. I was getting ready to report him and fire off a nastygram, but thought I might check his buying history first.

He has been buying a lot of parts for a sten gun. I think I will handle it softly. Jeebus.
