I would too, in the form of sexual favours or great sums of money.

I failed.

I enjoyed.

Life is still good.

However, I did only have two plates of mains, and 1-1/2 plates of dessert. I don't think a calorie-counting phone app would have helped tonight.

May have been me. We have OK GO YouTube fest over here occasionally.

You know what will really help a lot? Ans: these apps for tracking your caloric intake. There are a bunch of them but I used the one called Lose It!

On a daily basis you track every frikkin thing that crosses your lips, and on a daily or weekly basis you compare your intake against the "norm" intake. I'm a meticulous, number-crunching kind of guy by nature so I found it fun and easy to keep it up. It works like magic . . . once you have a picture of what you're doing wrong you know where to focus your efforts. It also allows you to subtract daily calories burned when you exercise.

I love it, works great! It's like having your own personal trainer in your pocket.

That is my idea of hell. Counting everything I eat is so tedious.

With a menu of this, I ordered the salmon tacos.

Bought some wheel bags from ebay for $28 shipped. That's nice.

patentcad 01-09-13 11:20 PM

You left on a Tuesday
A soft winter snow
I wasn’t ready
for lettin you go

My heart was breakin
But you were in pain
I put my head down
And whispered your name

Sometimes I wonder
Just who I am
And how you helped find me

Sam
Only Sam

Everything loving
and simple and true
That’s what you showed me
When I looked at you

Whenever I traveled
Wherever I roamed
Your head hit my lap and
Then I was home

Sometimes I wonder
Just who I am
And how you helped find me

Sam
Only Sam

Maybe you’re walkin
You think you’re alone
Wait for me in the tall grass up the hillside
Daddy’s comin home

Home to Sam
Only Sam

Home to Sam
Only Sam

Got the idea for the song last night, worked this song up tonight. Entitled Only Sam. Took me all night to get through it without breaking down, but there it is. Like this song. The bridge (that part at the end about waiting for me in the tall grass) is the hook, and it hooks pretty hard. I'll try to get it on tape by the weekend.

Helps with the whole process. Really makes me feel better about the whole business. And hopefully the doctor got his prognosis wrong and he lives another couple of years.

I've never quite understood why anyone would put wheels in bags. I have very nice wheel bags from a couple of companies I have never used.

Only thing saddle bags are good for in my case is taking up space.

Depends on the vehicle you're using, how you transport your bike, what other stuff is loaded in there, and how much crud there is on the wheels when you've finished riding.

I suppose.

We've used a double wheel bag for front wheels when travelling. Keeps them in one place, makes them easier to move around the van, stops other stuff rubbing on them. If you take spares to races...

Beautiful. My labbie is over 13 years old and I'm not ready to lose him.

Tonight I was having mole enchiladas @ Don Pedros when a Russian dude came in and tried to sell me a bunch of bananas for a buck.

That might be an only in Vancouver thing.

I use them in the winter months when it's too big of a pain getting under layers to get to my jersey pockets.

So it sounds as if I am not the only one going veg in 2013. Cholesterol numbers got better on the good side, but bad didn't budge. And that's after quitting smoking. Not a big meat eater anyway, but curiosity really has me trying everything to find the magic bullet.

Speaking of which, does anyone else have the Magic Bullet? Steam a bunch of cauliflower, carrots and broccoli, blend it up (minus carrots) in the Bullet with a little salt, pepper, olive oil and lowfat milk, add carrots after and you have soup in like ten minutes.

The Magic Bullet rocks for pureeing stuff. Not so much with the chopping and grinding.
