I got a DUI Friday night. now I need to hire a lawyer, and hope my employer doesn't find out and fire me. 6mo ago I had 6 beers all year. Now i find myself doing things I never would of done before. I'm effing loosing it. I really didn't even drink that much, but I skipped dinner due to time constraints and drank on an empty stomach.

Crap, I missed that earlier. Get a lawyer and hope for the best. Good thoughts being sent your way.

Yeah, so do I but I'm not that concise

LesterOfPuppets 01-06-13 07:37 PM

Dang, I missed that one too. Best of luck with that situation, SA.

Dont forget I have done it twice, err, well 2.5 times since I had to do court with #2 twice. I have the luxury of experience, and hind site. I am not proud of this.

Piss on her, Assassin, though she didn't make you get behind the wheel legally drunk. Get your life back in order, and let this be a huge wake-up call on how easily your life can get completely derailed, before you can even blink.

Sad to say, the DUI will now put you in the system, and you better concern yourself with that, first and foremost.

How about them Seahawks?

I'm trying to fit in. How am I doing?

I got a lawyer that used to work for the county as a prosecuter. So he has a lot of strings he can pull. He is also a good friend of my best friend. So it should all turn out okay. I just can't believe the stupid decisions I have made. This sucks exponentially.

That is exactly where I am at. I am finished with her. I am completely focused on getting my life back in order.

I figure once I am 50 or so then I'll settle down and find some hot girl in her early 20s to marry and settle down with. I don't care if I ever love another woman ever again. I'm just going to be selfish and look out for myself. This last month has been hell.

Oddly, if you concentrate on those other things and forget about the romance bit, you will likely find it coming to you a lot faster that you thought it could.

I went four years, after my last break-up, concentrated on long distance cycling and touring, and found one hell of a great woman along the way who is now my wife... and a very loyal one at that!

Okay, you can all clap and cry now.

Yep, See above. So applause (rather than clap) for you!

I was going to say the same thing. Probably best to find someone approximately your own age, especially if you want to grow old together.

Machka is 12 years younger than me. We were sitting around her parents' dinner table the other night laughing at how I was 12 years old when she was born, and she was only 8 when I was 20. Sort of puts a bit of an odd spin on it... but we all laughed... as we should because Machka's grandmother married a man 20 years younger than she. It runs in the family.
