Rowan 01-06-13 08:33 PM

Hey guys, don't forget RTDub's distance/weight information for his progressive graphs.

I lost 2lbs and rode 35 miles for the week. It's a start on the long road to thinniness.

Welcome back Rowan. It was nice to be back into the pool again today.

How old are you?

If I heard that word I would have asked first what it meant and then fainted.

RUOkie 01-06-13 08:42 PM

That was the worst TV show ever. Worse than the greatest American Hero

I'm 46. But I'm from Jersey

Damn it, history almost repeated itself with the Rowan family in the past couple of days.

I got burnt out in some fires in Victoria in 2009, and in the past few days, my sister has been on the edge of some major fires that have swept through a part of my home state, Tasmania. They've been in an area I got to know and like a lot. I think she's safe, but but the memories for me are still a bit too vivid...

Thanks for the tip. I will skip it.

This reminds me of an interesting observation my wife made a few years ago. We were at a "cheap date" at a combined Taco Bell/KFC. She looked around and noticed that all the fat people were eating KFC, while all the normal (not fat) people were eating Taco Bell.

I suggested this was an interesting sociological and demographic observation which could be the basis for an interesting PhD thesis.

That's because Taco Bell is a diarrhetic.

I got a Christmas present of sorts from TDOT. Today was the first time I've ridden on a road since they re-did this turn/bridge. It's now got a wider arc and better visibility. You can carry more momentum coming off the ridge now. Yay!

Awesome

If seeing them on the side of the road in car headlights counts as nature, yes. In the bush while camping, no. They are almost blind, hunt by smell and generally eat carrion, are fairly territorial in small areas, are nocturnal, are secretive, but growl like the blazes...

A lot of them are being quarantined now in the hope that a fascial tumour disease that is killing them off can be halted. It's a gene pool problem, apparently, not a man-caused one . We've been to one of the parks that replicates their bush habitat.

Are they really that nasty?

coasting 01-06-13 09:02 PM

I'm going to weigh myself in a while. One week on vegan diet, except one evening of seafood pizza. I think 2 lbs would be good but might not get there.
