Any news on DA 9070?
Has anyone seen any new news regarding release dates and availability for DA DI2 9070? Everything seems to be old. I'm sure that I won't be able to afford it but curious nevertheless before I order the 9000 group in a month or so.

yes it is shipping. I've had my 9070 on order since December. The date for my unit is April 14th for delivery, and the delay is due to the semi compact crank. People who have ordered before that and even at the same time for normal and compact cranks are getting it sooner. My LBS told me someone ordered a compact crank a week after mine and got an ETA of middle of March.

Part of me would really like to find a way to get it but chances are it'll have to wait to a future upgrade, still ill have the 9000 to look forward to soon.

My LBS ordered my 9000 in November, parts are starting to trickle in, first the chain, then BB, then cassette, then brakes. He orrdered straight from Shimano and they told him mid February before the crank would be delivered, the 50-34 or 53-39 is available now but not the 52-36! I hope to have it by May, especially since it's paid for.

I have a bike that is 9000, I can't upload the picture because it is too large. My crank is a 53/39/175. It shifts just like my DI2 Bike! It is beautiful! The shifts on the big lever give you a barely preciptable click, you move your fingers and you feel a change in your pedals. You don't hear it , it just happens! I dont like using the small lever, it makes you look back and down at your cassette to make sure that something happened! Just like DI2! I guess I'll get used to it, but it is too Damn Good! I really like the shape and feel of the hoods, especially when you grab the brakes ! I can't describe it but the levers feel substantial and solid and they too are so DAMN Good! All in all you will love them when you ride them. one picture that I did download to the hot or not post , shows this bike in the background, it is the one with the Madfiber clinchers on it. But I guarentee you will barely be able to make it out. I will retake the pictures at a lower resolution so I can post them.

Thanks so much! Can I ask, what cables are those (not the new DA ones?), and I notice that those don't seem to be the new brake calipers which I've heard are incredible compared to previous ones. If you're not using them why not?

The cables are Ilink They are fully enclosed and have very little friction, I love them. I also have Nokon but I like these better. The Brakes are Ciamillo Gravitas SL 2013 Uber light, strong clamping force, all carbon and just Gucci. The 7900 are very good brakes, you can probably just make them out sitting on the floor next to the rear wheel. The New 9000 brakes are not in the picture but they use almost the same exact arm system theory as the Gravitas brakes. I chose to go with the Gravitas SL. I also have a set on my DI2 7970 bike but they are the older Gravitas model not the new Gravitas SL. They just have to be set up right, I have never had a problem with them. The DA 9000 cables have added a piece of the liner that the Ilink cables use for the whole length of the cable to the cable ferruls about one inch, at the brake hoods and at the barrel adjusters and at the derailures. They also wrap a filiment around the length of the brake and derailure metal cables, for friction.

I'm with you though, I'm a fan of all 3 major manufacturers but DA9000 is what my mind is set on.

I think I would buy DA9000 cranks and brakes and buy Ultegra DI2 for the electronics once Ultegra goes 11 speed which probably won't be until late 2014.

I canceled my order. I do however have a Bike being shipped next week with DA 9000 that is equipped with 52-36. Should be here in two weeks.
