Worst medium ever. My dad had an 8-track player in his car back in the 70s.

Some stuff from the late 60's/early 70's has aged well, other stuff not so much....

I did not say anything about the &Y part of the group. Much of Neil's stuff has stood the test of time and he managed to stay relevant much longer than the other three. :)

Undisciplined.

The discipline required in practice to do that for an audition is not insignificant.

We're talking sheer vocal mojo here, and nobody ever recorded sweeter sounding vocals than CSN/CSNY. Another group with transcendent vocals were the Roches (the Roche sisters), c. 1980 or so, check out some of the singing on their most successful album 'The Roches' recorded when they were all in their 20s, featuring Robert Fripp on guitar. Particularly their most successful single track 'Hammond Song'.

When they nail it on this song it's just amazing.

That's what our sound was like today - with the slightly overdriven electric lead guitar over the straight acoustic rhythm, it was reminiscent of that Fripp/Roches sound. It's actually pretty cool.

Here is some vocal mojo for you.....

I had forgotten about the Roches....brings back some fond memories. And if you can play like Fripp, perhaps you can give up the day job :)

You're striving to sound like the Roche sisters? Interesting.

No, I was just saying that it reminded me of Fripp's guitar over their acoustic guitars on that album. Nobody could ever sound like the Roches except the Roches.

I couldn't tune Fripps guitar.

Always loved the Roches, great musicality. Are they still active?

From Wiki :
At the end of 2005, the three Roches (with brother Dave) reunited for a short but highly successful holiday tour. Several more appearances in the U.S. and Canada took place in 2006-7, and in March 2007, after a 12-year hiatus, The Roches released a new studio album, Moonswept.[SUP][4][/SUP] Following the tour for "Moonswept", the Roches announced that they would no longer be touring, although they have made isolated appearances individually and as a group, mostly in and around New York City.
