Best of luck to papa LC!

LowCel 02-06-13 07:19 PM

Thanks everyone. He is out of surgery, leaving his skull hinged. It wasn't an aneurysm. Sub dermal bleeding caused by kumedin. Now we are waiting to see if he wakes up from the coma.

I'm not the most religious guy but if people want to send prayers I would certainly appreciate it.

I'm not a religious guy, either, but I'll send good vibes that way.

So sorry to hear this LC. Keeping fingers crossed that everything turns out ok. :(

coasting, i finally got a library card last summer with plans to work there sometimes. it's a new facility and pretty nice. i should really go there more often.

i'm kind of over working from home. i think it's slowly killing me.

the change in diet is going well though. down 6 pounds in 2.5 weeks. i broke down after the cheese talk and bought a small block of extra sharp cheddar and it didn't seem to have a detrimental effect.

RUOkie 02-06-13 07:58 PM

Good luck lowcel.

EXCELLENT! Good for you TS! I found that once the weight started to come off I could eat a little more than when I started the diet. Weird, I know. I added some meat back into my dinners. some chicken and pork chops. I had a can of chili tonight, with my vegetables. I am down to 228 from 241. Still not eating a lot, mostly vegetables, one soda a day, at lunch for convenience.
I think the key for me has been the morning ride. 1st thing in the am 30 min on the trainer. Right out of bed, shorts, shoes, on the trainer. Before I am even awake. GO! better than coffee.

LAJ 02-06-13 08:47 PM

Sending positive thoughts your way, LowCel.

Man that's scary, I was on coumadin for about 7 months after my DVT. Bummer LC, hope he bounces back.

patentcad 02-06-13 08:59 PM

Colonoscopy prep tomorrow, no solid food, Gatorade and friggin ex-Lax. You guys don't have to give me any additional ****, there will be plenty coming out of me.

Dude, you're being silly now.

The man and his products CHANGED THE WORLD! Not once. Not twice. But THREE TIMES!

No matter how hard you hate, you can't even begin to take that away from him.
