LAJ, you have inspired me to commute to work tomorrow. Just have to find my helmet horns but otherwise set.

I know. Wrong movie but the scenes were similar

RollCNY 02-13-13 05:57 PM

The Marty Feldman death scene in "Yellow beard" is, for me, one of cinematic glory. I know, off topic.

Fact check: You killed RunwithWolves by telling her it was okay to ride on the sidewalk. I hope you're happy.

My grandma might have done the actual killing.

So, Oregon and USC were just filled with SEC envy?

Hey coasting,

Do you still pay taxes that support the BBC? I was freeloading a bit earlier. Man, that's vastly different than any radio one can listen to here. Not sure about the drama skits and the women's hour, though.

I wish I could watch the TV, especially the news programmes. U.S. TV news can be mind-numbingly dumb.

Yes I do, you mofo. I like listening to the crime drama. At the moment I have been enjoying the Wimsey-Clouds of Witness, Miss Marple- Pocket Full of Rye. Adam Dalglish by PD James is being removed so too late but watch out for other stories.

For comedy, the News quiz is great.

The best news is radio, anyway. Check out the Today programme.

I don't know about the skids. To a newcomer they seem pretty dumb. This isn't 1925.

For the time being I will be entertained listening to how they pronounce horsemeat.

Kind of confusing trying to make out what's what on several different channels.

Should be, "You watch your ass."

Really wanted to post, "And you look like a bucket of s***!"

same for me. I think you can see it if you use a uk proxy server, but I've only found paid proxies. I'm too cheap.

That horse meat scandal is hilarious. I wonder if I have been eating horsemeat for years.

Yeah, that's what you get anywhere outside the UK. The workaround I've found is to use Tor Browser, to re-route your traffic to a UK 'exit node'. Worked a treat when I was last abroad :thumb:

It is going to be very difficult to get through the next few days but the one I am really concerned about is my mom. She has not been "alone" in over 40 years. Their 40th anniversary is this May.

Sorry to hear about your father.

Take good care of your mother. She will need some support from her loved ones.

LesterOfPuppets 02-13-13 08:20 PM

Tor is pretty cool and does a lot more things but I found Expat Shield better for streaming video most of the time. YMMV.

PrinceofParamus 02-13-13 08:34 PM

As a public service anouncement if you speculated on a recent sporting event and it didn't work out in your favor REMEMBER to pay reimburse your Speculation Associate. Because some people are ***** tired of hear'n "Ill get it to you later" and other ******** excuses.

Why?

Also, would it kill someone to write instructions on a software web site in normal English?

Not easy to find a matched set, but good luck in your quest and commute, RollCNY!
