Are you upset that you weren't involved?

easy for you to say, i managed to make my face look a lot like that helmet once when i fell down playing soccer.

I got 13 stitches in my chin back in July. The chin is fine. The shoulder, OTOH, is effed.

That's funny - I just noticed that they're parked in front of a space heater. When I bring my dog to VA, she does the same thing. Y'all need to learn how to properly insulate a house down there.

I'll second the Brooks Pro. Or you could try a Brooks Swift, Swallow or good old B17.

Yeah, but I'm not too good as estimating time.

That explains your 'average speed'.

I guess you meant 'at' but I'm open-minded.

Carp............

I started thinking about road biking and started a little work on one of my road bikes. I stopped paying attention to the weather forecasts. Put my snow and ice bike at the bottom of the pile.
Ready for a ride Wednesday night on a road bike.

*&^%$#@#$%^&* Snow storm coming tomorrow. I'm going to have a good ride in the snow, but I want one weather type or the other. I guess I should be thankful that I can do both. But it's annoying right now.

halfspeed 03-18-13 09:03 PM

I've owned a number of Brooks Team Pros and B17s. I like them. Still have a Team Pro sitting in a drawer. Thing is, I can get just as comfortable on a saddle that's a pound lighter.

I am lining up my first brevet season to start in late April, and that is why I put together the fendered Nashbar bike. My fashion sense wants the bike to have the Selle Italia Turbo 1980 saddle, but my comfort wants the non-matching Romin. I think the Romin will win.

Quit complaining--I'm looking at multiple sub-50F days on the horizon. Gonna have to break out that stupid balaclava again.

Oh yeah, it's hammering snow here in the lower Hudson Valley, now they're thinking 6-8". We always get a little more here on Mt. Doom. Oh brother. What's dumber than snow in late March?

Snow in early April, that's what.

patentcad 03-18-13 09:36 PM

We moved in here on March 31, 1997, and overnight into April 1, we got a foot of snow. At the time we were the only house up here. We're sitting here in the middle of nowhere atop Mt. Doom (which at that time had yet to be named Mt. Doom by BF Papal Edict) wondering if moving to lower bumfark from civilized, close to NYC, affluent Bergen County, NJ, on top of a mile long private road with numerous 15%++ grades had been such a great idea after all. It all worked out.

Velo Vol 03-18-13 09:41 PM

It's not late March.
