Linux gets much approval though. Which distro?

Don't know. I'm not a distro bigot. I've used several over the last 18 years. Right now my WinXP box at work is pretty much a cygwin system.

Look it (a Central New Yorkism, for those unfamiliar), he asked for wagers and that's my wager (and my apostrophe, if you are unfamiliar).

The question was parlee or no Parlee for those unfamiliar with focusing! Of course being from New York does put you at a disadvantage....:roflmao2:

I am hoping that the both of the wings and engines stay on your plane during your flight!

Why, is it carbon fiber?

Get. Out!

Srsly? I thought you had to go to the plains states or something to encounter that.

Met a roadie on the plane to Denver. He rides a Project 1. Usually on the MUP. Most of his rides are 15 miles or so.

coasting 03-20-13 07:48 AM

what's your point.

LesterOfPuppets 03-20-13 07:52 AM

Uggh been raining for 15 hrs straight. Emerging from my cocoon seems like a stupid idea.

Sorry, I should have typed slower. My wager is:

The Parlee will not work out. If they are this slow on the initial sale, how slow will they be if there is ever a problem... So no to the Parlee.

My next wager is that he will buy from Wrench Science, and is tired of waiting. He will buy something else they have today.

My final wager is that they will offer an irresistible deal on the Argon, which he will pounce on, like your chihuahua on a space heater.

Three wagers.

Why? Is that the "hip" distro of the moment? I'm old. I have a hard time keeping up with what the kids are using today.

I don't know how hip it is. It is essentially Ubuntu with a different package management, and none of the "we will only include totally open source code in our distro" nonsense of Ubuntu. Mint works right out of the box, will play music and videos without dickering around, recognizes cameras without issue, and has been very stable for me. It really has nice features incorporated in the base GUI, and you can get it in Gnome, KDE, and XFCE configurations.

i'm going to the taipei bike show tomorrow. yeah!

I thought this was the English-speaking BF. I must have made a wrong turn somewhere in the intertubes.

It also doesn't have Ubuntu's Unity interface, which IMO deserves the hate that W8 gets thrown at it.
