Thanks, appreciate it.

This workout is like mainlining endorphins. I could see myself doing this in my basement in the middle of the season if no race or hard group ride is available.... I'm that souped up on goofballs right now.

Plug in a camera to get pictures and it takes down the system. Create a new user and the touch pad doesn't work for that user but for root and the original user? Mint has worked well for me as well though it's not on a primary system.

Whilst I appreciate that such issues are frustrating, have you tried Ubuntu recently? That stuff doesn't happen anymore. In fact, I'd go as far as to say in terms of just supporting peripherals/other devices out of the box without having to faff around installing drivers etc., it usually does a better job than windows. After using it for a while, I also happen to quite like unity, even though I hated it at first - it works rather well.

Interesting. Unity is what drove me back to Windows. I'd go with Linux Mint.

It does work quite well for day-to-day stuff, though.

Me and my pal JD will be playing our two new hit songs 'Do You' and 'She's So Fine'. The first is his original song, the second one is mine. My song features the second best song lyric I have ever written:

And then it hit me
Right at the time
I was a fish in the ocean
And you were the line

He and I are both *ahem* 55+.

We are the AARP Hit Factory®

Should be fun, we sound good together. At this rate we'll have enough material to actually play a gig. In six months. Oh well. One song at a time baby. I'll see if I can get somebody to videotape us on Friday.

If Pcad is the head of the entertainment committee he hasn't been doing enough to warrant his last pay raise.

Mostly I need it to fire up emacs and a console and support three monitors without a lot of hassle. Up until July I used IBM's modified for internal use only RHEL distro.

Nope.

She does not.

The class was History of Jazz, or something like that.

I have the first head cold in about a year, I hope you're all happy. Maybe some of you should stay home when you're sick.

I think that every day when people that abuse their sick time are here when they are sick as hell. My immune system is so bad that all I have to do is walk past them and I end up sick for a week.

patentcad 03-21-13 05:19 AM

I don't get colds very often. This one doesn't feel so bad. Hopefully it doesn't turn out to be the flu, but on the other hand I haven't gotten the flu in 10+ years. It's the vaunted Pcad Immune Shield®.

For a guy that sees more doctors in a year than the rest of this forum combined I would not brag.

Dunno, seems like I could give him a run for his money.
