187cm. I raced for ages on 170 as a juvenile/junior, then went to the levers when I was about 19 or 20.

170s are a great place to start, but coz I'm not the most efficient spinner in the world, I feel more comfy slamming a big lever.

187cm? A big bastard. That'd be taller than Indurain, Anderson, and Riis, wouldn't it?

Was Scott Steward a good bloke?

I almost had a "don't you know who I am" moment with him many years ago on Beach Rd :D

Did you get that picture of Veronica I sent you?

Haven't had time to look. Are there evil pop-ups and trojan horses associated with it?

He was the legend at my club....I started racing with his younger brother, Jamie. SS was a total horse, massive engine....nicknamed "The General" for his presence in a bunch. I think he took a 5th in the US PRO Corestates in 1989, behind Oravetz, Kiefel, Knickman.....the big hitters on the US pro scene at the time.

Nah...about the same as one L Armstrong, from what I read.
< Miguel
=Ando
fraction < than "Mr 60%"

Brian 12-09-04 10:17 PM

On a different note, my wife's given me the ok tp build another tandem. I was hoping we could buy that Litespeed, but ain't happening. Maybe the big cat guy can get me another custom frameset.

Just ran the AVG and deleted a pesky virus. So is there a filter on the admin side that detects words like the P word, ***** and fark?

Just enough to get yourself in trouble?

1) The moderators were made aware of some insensitive threads dealing with the death of a musician. While some may not think their comments are not funny, there are others that do. So when a moderator comes into the thread and asks people to quit it, please do not disrespect them for enforcing the forum guidelines.

2) Making fun of the dead, regardless of what your intent, is NOT funny. Stop it.

3) While on the subject of forum guidelines, any posts that link to pornography or even links to other forums that post links to pornography is still a violation of forum guidelines. Stop.

If we do continue to see these types of posts here, we'll close the thread, seeing as though when we do attempt to moderate, our actions are met with some hostility and derision. Please keep it clean, and do be mindful of the forum guidelines when posting, regardless of what thread you're posting in.

Thanks,

It was not a death, it was a murder. My mum died. This "musician" was murdered. My commentary was centered around the fact that the reason for this senseless shooting was that the deceased "broke up the band". There is a certain irony to this. I don't see in the thread where there was any intended disrespect, only sarcasm. I can only assume you felt compelled to write this because someone misinterpreted a certain comment and attempted to chastise the writer. This is supposed to be a lighthearted and fun forum, and perhaps these people need to not take things so seriuosly, and go out and ride more.

Team Kmart 12-10-04 12:20 AM

Ouch!

badsac 12-10-04 02:02 AM

Lol. It's like mum came into the cubby house and scolded you naughty boys. You've all run off home to hide.

[Edit] Hey Kmart, you an Aussie or just a blow in? If the former, might as well ask the obligatory "wat cho ride" question. :)

Brian 12-10-04 02:04 AM

Indeed. What's up with that? And they're making us out to be bad guys on another thread.
