Nah, he'd just recycle one of his old ones and mumble it into the microphone so you couldn't understand the words or meaning.

Melbourne, love riding in the mountain hills. I was asking myself the same question...how many other Aussies are on this forum. I now well know that i'm not alone :D

You feeling better today Hitchy. This is what happens when you ride too much on the actual road. Maybe a good Mag Training session will sort you out.

None of us is alone..We are being watched all the time by little green beings who like to probe orifices...or was that just a movie I watched once.? :o

it's all starting to make sense now wattsy!......magtrainers, balaclava's, buckled wheels climbing alpe d' magtrainer, orifice probes.....we're starting to build a picture of what makes wattsy tick......(hmm orifice probes....Hitchy makes mental note not to ride directly in FRONT of wattsy at the hell ride tomorrow!)

Hitchy (suddenly very afraid)

ed073 09-02-04 06:34 PM

speaking of seppos....have you blokes ever read any of the threads about "do you carry a gun when biking (they seem to have a problem with the word "cycling")?"

some of those guys cannot be serious.

g'day,

I think the sad (& scary) part is they are.......that troll tread is a classic...the only problem now is that every 2nd thread I read, I now think is 'taking the p1ss'....sometimes I have to wait to post till I see what others have said so I know how to take them!......a couple of times I've started 'hanging it on' posters thinking they were having a 'lend' only to discover they are deadly serious....doh

cheers,

hitchy

Don't be silly, we're all blokey types of blokes here! Having said that, I am hoping the weathers warm tomorrow and you've had a chance to wax...

G'day guys, another Aussie new to the forum, and cycling. Using an '04 Trek 1000 for commuting to work. Trying to build my fitness. Hopefully will find a social riding group in Hobart soon.

Any other Tasmanians on the forums?

531Aussie 09-02-04 08:55 PM

I want some of you "bike shop boys" to come clean.

Let's see....hmmmm..Wattsy....in Sandy, and rides a TREK....you must be an OMARA boy!!! Oooooh, navy and gold, nice colours.

And big Ed sounds like a Fitzroy Cycles boy to me or a Freedom Machine boy.

Nah, fish oil is on the inside of the steel Kervello. It's supposed to be the same as "Framsaver" -- coats the inside of the tubes like a wax, therefore, supposedly reducing the chance of corrosion.

I know I'm gunna regret this: can you really buy infrared goggles, or something similar? :D

By the way, I'm still selling the world's cheapest Scapin; they wouldn't trade it in.

Actually, I bought my ride when I was in the States 18 months back and have only started riding it regularly for the last 6 months. Because I didn't buy it locally, I haven't had it back to a Trek dealer and have John Kennedy look after it for me. (I actually just got it back from him after a service and truing of wheels) Only riden it around the block so far, but am very happy.

BTW, do you think that fish oil will stop the inside of my carbon fibre from rusting also? :)

cheers,

hitchy
