Oi,
serious question here! (we recommend that the following may be to graphic for our younger viewers!)....lol....anyway....I have got a serious question. I've ridden 'Look' pedals since forever.....long time readers will know that I changed over to the new 'Keo's' in October.....but I can't seem to get comfortable with the cleats. love the pedals, but can't seem to find a comfortable cleat position. Cos they are a different design to the traditional 'Look' cleats, I thought, I 'd just start with the cleat in the middle of the shoe & work my way from there....went forward, went back, went left, went right. Had 'em loose, had 'em tight, plenty arc & no arc, but they still hurt my feet....help! (its not the shoes cos this didn't happen before)...c'mon folks, what can I try now?...give me the benefit of your wisdom :D hitchy |
when you say "hurt your feet"....describe the pain, location etc.
did you do the old Liquid Paper around the outline of the old cleat on your shoes before swapping? |

Schuey donated US$10 very big ones. Heck, Johnny Howard tossed way more than that into the hat, and he makes nowhere near Schumacher's salary.

Yeah. Latham would have just gone over and kicked everyone's a$$, starting with the cabbies.

hitchy Start by wearing what you normally wear: sox, nicks, whatever Make sure your bike is level. Chock up the front wheel with wood, books, whatever Loosen you cleat on one shoe, then nip it up so it can be moved with your foot, but will hold its place. Warm up for about 10 mins, concentrating on your pedalling action. Smooth and elegant, don't stamp. Go up a cog and increase the pressure slightly, making sure you remain smooth and symetrical. Watch your knee alignment against the top tube. No kicking (outward) or knocking (inward) allowed. When you are comfortable stop pedalling with the loose cleat foot down. Carefully reach down and release you foot from the shoe without moving it from your comfy position. Release the shoe very carefully using a large flatblade screwdriver to open the pedal (or whatever). Tighten the cleat, then jump straight back onto the bike for another 10 mins to see if you're happy. Repeat as required, then do the other hoof. |

did you do the old Liquid Paper around the outline of the old cleat on your shoes before swapping? outside of foot, just behind the ball......the tracing of the old cleat is irrelevant because the new design is a different size all together....I'm dumb, but not that dumb! Hitchy |
Oi 531
whats this worth? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....gename=rvi:1:1 I could be interested if the price is right Hitchy |
A cleats a cleat. It's psycho insomniactic. Just get on the fooker and ride.
Rode around Mt Panorama backwards today. Fark me. That would have to be close to the hardest thing I've voluntarily done in my life. Much farkin steeper than the right way around. But man, is the corner off Mt Straight farkin awesome to take doing 80 with the bike cranked right over. Geez, the Mt's a great bike track. :D Just got banned from one of the other forums I frequent instead of doing work for getting in a pathetic blue for saying Goughie throws pies, then talking dirty to the female mod (I lurve mature wimin) that came around to clean the mess up. Never been banned from anywhere before. My productivity at work will go way up now. :( |

Hitchy I had a similar deal years ago and changed shoes from Look (narrow-ish) to Time (broader) and it went away immediately. |

No no - psycho insomniactic is where you can't get to sleep and it drives you crazy
What badsac meant was psycho orthotic which is where your shoes drive you crazy |

Right now NZ cricket is suffering from psychometacarpal, caused by twiddling ones thumbs with no-one to play against after the Sri Lankans went home (fair enough too, they needed to) and the Indians turned down an invite to tour.
Looks like the Aussies will arrive fresh from hammering Pakistan and proceed to maul the Black Caps in March :( |
Oh, and if you're offering something in a can, I would prefer a VB to Mortein.
