Was talking to some "dude" on Beach Road the other day who said he had
to get rid of his LOOK because it was too flexy. Ok, ok, it looked like an older one to me: off-white coloured, with red stickers -- sound familiar? He now has an Orbea |

No surprises there. the older KG frames go like cooked spaghetti after an alarmingly short period for elite riders. These are $3000+ framesets. Jeremy Hunt said he needed a new one every 3 months. Jans Koerts couldn't ride them...needed a KG196 (read: block of granite) for the whole season. |

And he could sprint a bit, too. ...I think these coaching gurus all steal the best bits from each others stuff....exactly the same thing in 'The training bible' by joe friel.....the 'coaching nazi' gives us all these workouts which have little ID numbers & intensity...then on another sheet we get a description of 'how' its supposed to be done....all of carmicheals stuff is Edmund whatshisfaces & joe friel's Hitchy |
I'm gunna sprout that John Kennedy quote again: he reckons that the ZIPP
track bike was so crap and flexy that the chain sometimes came off on velodromes with tight turns, but he had signed to use it for his world record attempt. I've done some searches for those old bikes but Zipp seem to have swept them under the carpet. |

He's actually taking over (with hilton) as coach at Caulfield/carnegie. They are developing some stuff with Miles Stewart & hiopefully will be online shortly...then the whole world can suffer with me! Hitchy |

I spoke to a physio who said there's an unusual condition that cyclists can get where one of the arteries under the groin gets squished, therefore blocking the supply to the mediali and VMO |

out ways of managing it a while ago, but it's still annoying, and I didn't know it normally requires surgical intervention. Do you wanna know?....(boring, it's my injury, and no one else is interested :) )..... It comes on like a cramp that almost forces the medialis in one or both legs to lock up, but if I do a stop-start warm-up (effort, rest, harder effort, rest, etc) it sort of "warms up" the artery, facilitating blood flow, which then allows me to proceed. I've also noticed that if I'm in a competitive group ride, with a lot of adrenaline going through me, it's much better. I suspect this is because of effect adrenalin has om assisting blood flow. |

Top bloke, stuey, wasting hsi time talking to a nuffy like me...i probably spent about an hour with him, phil ligget, Phil anderson & Robbie...highlight of my cycling life (apart from warnie!).I wanted a 'look' frame from that day on after he told me his 361 was the frame he would have even if he wasn't being paid to say that! Hitchy for nearly three years. I've really wanted to do some competitive 40km time trials (ok, I've blown my cover: I'm semi serious about my riding :) ), but this has been stopping me training properly. Rah Rah Hitchyoheyoh-eee |

EVERYONE was on there. classic! Was that his "Cogs" restaurant that went bust? What happened there? It's kinda funny that Stuey's web site has France all over it (http://www.stuartogrady.com.au) -- him being such as Aussie, and all. |
