Yes. Now you can connect with two other MUPs to form this 7-8 mile "MegaGreenway" (that's what I meant by "uninterrupted"). However, it's somewhat convoluted.
And at any rate, there are so many curves, and tree root bumps, and bridges, and railroad tracks, and road crossings, and whatever you encounter on the MUP, that it's not a place to get much of a workout. Probably couldn't average more than 17MPH. I usually just stick to the nearby roads, unless it's a bad time of day for traffic or getting dark.

Rotts aren't special needs dogs at all, other than you have to take charge and make sure he knows who's alpha. It's just like raising children . . . love without firm direction is a no-win situation.
The problem with Moose was his first owners got him as a pup and treated him like a lap dog, with constant petting and attention. He got used to that, he thought that was normal. Then he became full sized and these dumbass owners realized he was too big and strong to be a lap dog and just set him free on the streets.
So the dog I adopted was used to being petted whenever HE wanted . . . I had to teach him that *I* was in charge and I would pet him when I damn well felt like it, plus all the obedience commands and stuff. Not difficult, not scary in the least, but necessary. Like any big dog, if you don't take charge of them, they will take charge of you.
Rotts are wonderful dogs and bond strongly with their master and family. Very loving dogs. Where you have to be careful is that they are naturally protective of you, and sometimes they can be overprotective if they sense a threat. But that's their nature, they just want to make sure the master is alright. Some are more concerned about it than others. Once they know you it's a non issue. Loyal to the death, like most any other dog.
My first Rott, that *I* raised from a pup, I never had any issues with. I guided her in the direction I wanted her to go, just like rearing children.

I pass most of the people that I pass going uphill. I stop at the rest area for half an hour to eat and use the bathroom, and then I pass them again. Rinse, repeat.

I'm having a better year on the dirt jumper than on the road.
