As for the price, I won't argue anymore on that because it's just beating a dead horse.... what's done is done. I know you're trying to be a nice guy but if you're not providing him with the correct advice/info you're doing more harm than good. Just like giving the kid at the race a trophy for coming in last place. The fact is he didn't buy the right size, and he over payed. I don't know why you feel the need to pat him on the back and reinforce his mistake. I don't mean to come off as an A-hole or to pour salt on a wound, but informing him that he made a mistake will ensure he won't make another one later down the road.

there you go again, there are no absolutes in this situation. So continuing to argue wether your right and Im wrong is useless and makes you look like an A-hole because for some reason you need to be right even without proof. I said there was a chance it would fit, nothing more. Besides he clearly bought the bike irregardless of what any of us said. The only thing up for debate is the price, I think we can still get another 3 pages out of that alone. We just need some more Caadicts in here!

So I commuted with it today for the first time. It's true I don't really know what feels "right" so I have nothing to base it on, but I felt pretty comfortable. My knees bend slightly with my foot on the pedal in the bottom position, and the handlebars are at the appropriate height for the seat's height. What else matters?
Anywho, despite all the bickering I've seen on this thread I greatly appreciate the input from everyone. I'll probably bring it to a bike shop to get an opinion on the size.

You're comfy...and you're out there riding. That is worth a lot. That's what it's all about.

Excellent! If your knee is slightly bent, and you have no complaints about having to reach too far for the bars...and can bend you arms a little; and you're comfortable, then I'd say you're good! A bicycle shop will likely try and sell you an expensive "fitting session"; new components; or a whole new bike. If you're comfortable, just enjoy it. Don't do anything until and if such time as you're not comfortable.

Is the picture in the OP not good enough?
Judging by the short upright stem that is already on there, the fit should be pretty dang close, ala French fit.

This is very interesting, Nick. I wish they had pictures comparing the three. I did find this https://viciouscycleblog.com/2010/12/06/the-eddy-fit/, but I could not find a picture of the French fit. Either way, that's def the fit my bike and I resemble. Perhaps I'll try the others in due time to see which I'd prefer to stick with.

I don't know how you are at adjusting things but at the very least you should mess with saddle height and fore and aft. Are you able to comfortably operate the brifters from the top and bottom hand positions?

I'll add my vote to "too big" for the OP. I'm 6'-0" and the Caad 58 fits me perfectly. I also wouldn't pay $750 for it.

OP: Dear Forum, should I buy this bike?
Forum: No, it's too big for you and overpriced.
OP: Guess what, I bought it!
