Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Microshift demo'd 11-speed four years ago. They are now more than just a spec on lower end bikes, I actually prefer their ergo and shifting to Shimano components two levels up. Just a preference. It is a tough market, and MS has quite a bit of ground to make up, but they are solid components.
Good to hear RT. Have heard of MS but have no first hand experience. A great time for us as bike consumers...so much great gear out there.

This weekend's rides I noticed the shifting was really good on my 6700. Really responsive and smooth. I don't know why campy fanboys keep saying people can't tell when a shift has been made. It was a very clear click to me. Maybe they are just talking out of their fat rear ends.

More like it is you who have repeatedly sullied this thread with not knowing what you are talking about. Fact is, Shimano changed virtually every aspect of shifting performance for new 7900/6800 in the direction of Campy and Sram with more pronounced detents giving more shift feedback. This was based upon rider input who preferred Campy and Sram in this respect. You flunk...but you are used that aren't you...lol.

I doubt it.

Campagnolo fans are a pretty loyal bunch. Is there a Shimano or Sram equivalent of this page?

This is the main issue I have with 5700 and why I prefer Microshift - there's no doubt about where you are when the shift is finished. Just can't get the feel down for the Shimano stuff. I will have to test ride some 6800 to see if the fuss is hype or if it is a significant change.

Even though your post is dripping with sarcasm, this is your first sensible comment.

I think the dynamic in fact will be slightly different. I predict...will see, that Ultegra 6800 will be so overwhelmingly positive since it has been improved so much that will capture a lot of the new 11s business moving forward. In fact, I will strongly consider riding it if and when I make the change to 11s which I am no hurry to do so. Its for the simple fact that it taps all the bases functionally now. Crisp and and excellent shifting with short throws with 11s at a more attractive price than Chorus 11s which could be argued is a bit more attractive cosmetically...in the eye of the beholder...but functionally and ergonomically there maybe nothing between them. The distinction that may still exist is loyalty to either type of shifting...brake with shifter as with Shimano or separate side shifter side button as with Campy. Riders are pretty divided here. Me personally, I like either shift method...including Sram double tap.

And...a completely different market...for the masses versus more niche...whether driven by marketing aka demographics...or moreover by economics...distribution/cost and supply and demand. You probably know the volume difference better than all here. No Campy on many factory high end bikes...unless guys like me put it there.
