Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I've done a search and didn't see much that satisfies my interest so I'll put out a new thread. How's the road riding in Prescott? From what I've seen it has excellent mountain biking. I might move there and this will be a big factor. Anyone out there with an opinion?

Bikes: There’s a fleet.

Prescott has some excellent road routes Bo, both flat, and climbing. From the White Spars/Skull Valley loop, to some out and backs including Chino Valley and Mingus Mountain/Jerome, it'd be difficult to imagine you couldn't find something you'd enjoy or find challenging. Remember, they are high enough to have winter.

Good luck!

What he said, tons of climbing, tons of fun... the only killer there is the wind, it can get pretty bad at times.

Winter is OK with me (well, not Alaska winter but..) It's a summer like you get down in Phoenix that would kill me. From what I've seen on weather sites Prescott has great weather. St2venb mentions wind, which doesn't thrill me. No place is perfect though.

I rode in Sedona a few months back. They are pretty close so I would imagine the riding is similar. That being said, the Sedona riding was great.
