So JD and I played @ the Paula's Wine Bar Open Mic tonight. They liked us so much they offered us a gig, so we just have to figure out how we'll fit it in and how I will fit in with Strings Attached. They want us in there in the next few weeks.

Went out and cut firewood and just finished splitting and stacking. Not really that much, probably two cubic yards, but enough to get us through a couple of weeks. One of the advantages of living in the country with forests around us is having access to wood.

Good all-body workout, even with the chainsaw.

I can't tell you how excited I am. Kind of like getting your upgrade to Cat 3, but more fun and far cooler. And it pays. Paltry sums, but that really makes it just like amateur bicycle racing. But safer, and considerably less stupid.

And no threat to the ankle. Unless you trip on a cable. Or a bar stool.

Does it have the same... ummm... effect on keeping you relaxed and un-depressed as you've said, in the past, that cycling does?

And yes, your excitement is palpable.
