Papal Red Report
35 miles on the Addict with 2013 Sram Red (10 speed). I was amazed at how good it was, how precise the shifting was, short throws, a bazillion times better than the Sram Force I rode back in January, which really was Utter Fail. I had heard the new Red was the shiznit, and so it is.

I love my 2013 Red. Much more than I expected to. The Zero Loss is great, and shifting is precise and definite. Going back and forth between it and Shimano ergonomics is no problem for me.

Sram design engineer error. Happily they got it right with 2013 Red.
The difference between last year's Force and this year's Red is night and day. Amazing.

And yet so many friggin idiots got it to work just fine. I'm sure you will say they were too dumb to know better. But deep down you know your church had deep, dark lust lurking in it the hole time.

Incorrect. They simply tolerate abominable ergos and design. Hey, look how successful Windows has been.
I rest my case.

Windows keeps it's market share through a want/need for continued compatibility. Doesn't apply in the same way to Sram. Look how easily you switch back and forth.
You depend on computers for your career, right? I would have thought you would have been smarter than that.

Pass this by me again. Whose comment was absurd? Duh! It was a joke. Look up hyperbole, humor, and sarcasm. The notion I was trying to convey in my post was that every person has made a decision and/or done a deed that an onlooker could have characterized with the criticism, "I would have thought you would have been smarter than THAT." The "that" surely keeps changing from situation to situation and person to person, but the imperfection of the human species and its tendency to make mistakes is a constant. Oh, wait a minute, this is absolutely perfect. Here it comes: With regard to misinterpreting my post, I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN SMARTER THAN THAT! Do you see how it works now?

The point being, if we can believe this stuff, the human race has been smarter than what it is now. Call me a cynical old fart, but this doesn't surpise me.

For the life of me I can't figure out what you are talking about. Not yor first post (church, lust, confession, hole time) nor your last one. All I know is I was taking the bit about thinking someone was smarter and making a joke out of it. In any case I am a long time Red fan, and imagine the improvements will only bond my loyalty more strongly. Live long and prosper.
