Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

This. Proper clothing is a must.

Yup. I track my best power avg / IF for each Sufferfest video. Over the spring/summer I am only riding outdoors. So far this fall I've kicked butt on 4 of my records for the videos. One is 10% higher power. Last winter's training allowed me to hit many speed/power records on my outdoor routes.

Yep. Last night I did an hour in 2 degree weather, and during my ride it actually went down to zero. That's the point where water freezes. More than 50% of the human body is comprised of water. But did I freeze? No. I felt warm and comfy.

It was awesome.
