Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I wasn't sure either but I suspected it must be a twist of the outer ring. I contacted Campmor and they confirmed that's how it works,

Anyone have one of these ?

I liked the look, so I ordered one.

Very impressed now that it has arrived. My roadie is now 'legal' and still looks good!

Just got an email that says my bell shipped. Should have it by the end of the week - just in time. All in all, just under three months from the time I placed my order. Technically, it's still "spring" I suppose.

Bell won't cut it here. People are deep in their mp3 players and smart phones. Air Zound is where its at. The blind deaf idiot walking in the middle of the bike path jumps 6 feet and clears the path pronto.

Very pleased, I polished the bell and screw before I installed it. Very pleasant ring also. Good job Spurcycle!

I can see you!

If only it wasn't so freakin expensive, I would have probably bought 4 more (1 each for the my family bikes).

Just got mine and the ring reminds me of the ring noise at the beginning of the old black and white "outer Limits" show. People haer it and don't know what to do.......

I got the spurcycle bell pictured in the OP's post. Waited 2 mos and paid $35 but I must say it is a great little bell. A little too precious, but great. Discreet but shiny. Faces forward so it's aero! Very easy to flick the lever with your thumb and it has a pleasant nice ring to it. Spurcycle
