Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I don't need to carry any I-beams today, but I do need to look for some new dress shoes. Will Guinness still help?

I don't have any idea what you are implying, unless it is an obscure reference to Getafix from the Asterix and Obellix graphic novels. But I played a gnome Rogue, and my lush friend was a dwarf tank (whatever the heck the game called fighter).

Not implying anything, just guessing what class you played as. I rather like rogues, too. Well, my idea of rogues - not having played WoW, I don't know that there's a direct correlation.

Usually there are a couple types of bruising fighters - the ones that favor dealing lots of damage with two-handed weapons and the "sword and board" tanks that are built to attract enemy attention and can take a lot of damage (allowing the less robust in their party to do their thing).

I need to find a good RPG....

WoW is weird as far as classes. Rogues are fragile, high damage characters, and fighters are tough, lower damage guys. Druids are one of the most powerful solo characters, because they can be fighters, rogues, and healers interchangeably. It all works, but screws with your recollection if you cut your RPG teeth on AD&D.

Seems to be fairly consistent with my ideas. Only played a few sessions of AD&D, and that was 25+ years ago, so no conflicts there.

I'm an NA Beck's girl although the O'Douls is easier to find when I'm out. A few years back I got an NA German beer that reminded me why I rarely drank any beer when I lived there. If I wanted to drink porridge...

I'm half Berliner... most of the time I LOVE heavy beers.

But I am thrilled to see that the Berliner Weisse is beginning to gain popularity in Florida... it's even got its own moniker: the Floriner Weisse. A fabulous drink on a hot summer day.

There's a lot of beers, etc I'd like to try if they made an NA version though I understand why they don't. (I've had issues in the past plus I'm not the kind of girl who *has* to drink if you know what I mean.)

Definitely... the Berliner Weisse generally run about 3% abv. Sooo... not exacly N/A... but definitely easily drinkable. I doubt my stomach would hold enough to get me to the point of intoxication. LOL

my main character is a hunter. damage with a pet that can tank. works well for soloing. my other favorite is a druid that is mostly a healer.

That made me recall that my Horde character was a hunter, and I didn't know you could get more than one pet. So he had a spider named Bacon that I kept forever.

I hate companions/animals. I usually favor stealthy approaches and they just cramp my style.

....although Bacon is a fine name.

"Everyone loves Bacon." That was the premise, because the AI was annoying otherwise. How can you get mad at Bacon?
