Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Skiing in Colorado

I am skiing in Keystone Colorado with my family. I can not think of a better way to break up the winter blues than to go skiing. My work on the indoor trainer has made skiing very easy, I am more than keeping up with my 17 year old cross country running child. It is always good to show the kids that the old man still has it.

Maybe he's letting you keep up out of pity.

Well that's great, but if you have the time ditch keystone and head to Copper, much better skiing!

No matter how much I've been riding, skiing for 3 straight days still makes me incredibly sore. Seems like it uses slightly different muscles.

Not really sore yet, but am feeling it. I am guessing the next couple of days will change that.

Regarding Keystone vs Copper vs other places. I have been fortunate to have gone skiing at quite a few places. My favorite is probably Jackson Hole. Keystone is just real comfortable for the family.

I am kicking the 17 year olds ass. If it is via pity, I will take it. . More than likely it is due to the fact that I am paying for everything.
